Week 50 - Come At Me Spider

This is going to be the most random email lol

ICECREAM DENDO

Yo. Who doesn't like free ice cream and a message about Jesus??? I like it :) But anyways, it is starting to be sooo dang hot outside where you just want to cry a little bit. So on one of the days this week, (I forgot which one) we went to a convinie and got ice ream! And the first person we stopped talked to us for like 15 mins! (It's hard to get someone to stop and talk to you for like .15 seconds) all the ice cream was melted when we were done talking...but we gave it to her anyway and she gave us her number. woop!

COSTCO

I am not even mad that in most of my emails...I speak mainly about food. Because this week we went to COSTCO AGAIN! man. Costco is just legit. It really is. My favorite people in the world took us and we ate pizza :') Tears of joy were shed. I'm serious!

We bought maybe 5 things and it was like $100

...hahah

Still not even mad because we made QUESADILLAS!! :')

GAPPY :))

OK. craziest thing happened this week. My MTC teacher, Gappmayer Shimai came to my area and introduced us to a referral who happens to be the cutest human ever! Her name is Sara :) She received all the lessons in Utah from Gapp Shimai and was so close to having a baptismal date> But then she went back to Japan!! and lost contact with missionaries! I think I found another one of my friends :) I also just died because I saw Gappmayer Shimai!!! Who I haven't seen in almost a year!!!!! I MISS HER AND LOVE HER SO MUCH. We were talking in Japanese to each other almost the whole time. In the MTC, my Japanese was non-existent and it was so cool to actually understand her and talk to her in Japanese!! :')

BUGS AND BIRDS

I don't know if any of you know this...but I have the biggest fear of birds. ok? And we walked into the church this morning right? and THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS BIRD FLYS LITERALLY OUT OF NO WHERE (like building a nest in a non-existent hole?) BUT SERIOUSLY FLYS OUT OF NO WHERE AND SMACKS ME RIGHT IN THE FACE. I ABOUT DIED. All of a sudden I was on the ground and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

next story....(This all happened in one day)

We are returning home from meeting with Sara and Gappmayer Shimai, right? Just experienced the biggest miracle of my life... I'm biking home, having the biggest smile on my face..right? WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS BLACK BUG THE SIZE OF A PINECONE JUST SMACKS RIGHT INTO THE CENTER OF MY FACE AND I SLAM ON MY BRAKES AND MAKE THIS SOUND THAT I NEVER KNEW COULD COME FROM A HUMAN-BEING.... yeah. it was eventful to say the least.

and lastly...

I don't know if you know...BUT the spiders here are so yabai. Literally I have never seen species like these ones.

There is this spider by our front door that just keeps making this big huge spider web that I walk into every single day. right? No matter how many times you try to get rid of this web... we come back and it is even bigger than before!!!

So one of the times we tried to destroy this web, Sister Van Pelt put on this cardigan around her head like a Muslamic headwrap and said, "come at me spider!" AND IT WAS THE FUNNIEST MOMENT. I DIED.

Man. this week was awesome. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY :))
