TRANSFER CALLS
So yesterday at church I was giving away my goodbye cards and taking pictures with the ward members. Saying goodbye to those I probably won't see for a while. A sister in the ward was like "Okay we are throwing a goodbye party for Phelps Shimai! She is going to transfer this week. We will have ice cream here at the church, tomorrow at 7. Everyone be there!" She was telling EVERYONE that I was going to leave. The Bishop in the ward was like, "Bye Phelps. You're gone!"
Right?? Well 。。。。
This morning we got our transfer call from President Nagano AND I'M STAYING IN TSUKUBA. #TSUKUBAFORLIFE Hahahahahahhahahahahahha that's right. Tsukuba for 5 transfers. That's 7 months of my mission in one area. 😂 not even mad. I LOVE tsukuba!! #TheFamIsInTsukuba.
I am so sad though. (Hense the subtitle and the "Condolences" pictures featured below.) Sister Mitchell is transferring to Chiba. She has become one of my BEST FRIENDS. We are basically the same human. She made every single day such a great adventure :)
Her new companion is my homie Gorner Shimai!!! (MTC companion)
Sister Mitchell is so cute. She gave me a present because she is leaving, and it's a book with pictures of bread. I love her :')
And my new companion will be Sister Yamashita! She is Japanese✌ and speaks no English ✌ hoopla @ myself. This transfer is going to be an adventure :)) today I just started my 7th transfer :') ちょっと変ね。
FROG CATCHIN, SUNSET WATCHIN, AND TREES
The biggest highlight of my week was this:
At our ward BBQ I caught a frog, ate meat in the forest, and watched a sunset.
RIGHT. So great, huh?
Okay. I will break it down.
The ward members are seriously Dendo fire. They invited the whole world to come to this BBQ and the turn out was absolutely outstanding. We now have 19 potential investigators because of it. That's huuuge. Holy cow, I was kinda peeing my pants.
SPEAKING OF.
I wore pants. And it was weird.
But I caught a real cute frog named Fred. Ate meat in a gorgeous forest by a bunch of rice fields. The rice fields are just 😍 so pretty. And I will let the pictures explain themselves. Sorry there's a lot. Haha

It's starting to be hard for me now haha
P.s. this week was my first time eating food with a fork.
