When I Skyped home this morning...wow. 本当に お久しぶり。ちょっと変でしたけど haha! It was so good to hear your voices and to see your big smiles!! :) I love you all so much!
I am so proud to be your daughter mom! I found this quote from President Monson today and it reminded me of you!
"Our homes are to be more than sanctuaries; they should also be places where God’s Spirit can dwell, where the storm stops at the door, where love reigns and peace dwells."
You really did provide this for us mom. I am so eternally grateful for you and the hard work you and dad put in for us every single day :) Thanks for being my best friend! :) I hope you had a great ママの日 (mothers day)❤
HELLO THERE.....SATAN.
(Casually changed topics to satan...ごめんなさい)
So I've noticed that Satan doesn't really like me. 😂 He has been trying to tear me down a lot. I'll share a story that happened this week during exchanges:
So we were doing what's called a "Free English Challenge" and all of a sudden this old man walks up to my companion and me. He looked really nice. Short guy with big classes and a cute lazy eye! :)
And then he said, "You believe in Jesus Christ?" And I said, "you betcha!😊" and then he just started tearing me down. For about 20 minutes he was trying to convince me that Jesus Christ wasn't real!!
He said, "If you believe in him....Pray to him right now and tell him to show himself to me!"
I told him it didn't work like that...and before I could say more he said, "I believe in science. Something I can smell, touch, see...(etc) I don't believe in this fantasy you call 'God'. He isn't real. And you are CRAZY for believing in someone you have never met or seen before." He said more.. but my heart was basically broken to pieces. When he started really getting into it...I stopped him and said, "You know, i really don't want to fight with you. I respect you and your opinion, but please have respect for us too and don't talk about Jesus Christ in that way."
And then he went absolutely nuts. He started pacing In front of us, yelling at me...telling me I was crazy! After I boldly stood up for what I believed... I felt as if the spirit prevented me from saying more. Glad he did, it probably would have gotten ugly haha. But one of the elders saw what was going on and had to drag him away from us.
Honestly, that was a headache/heartache I was not prepared for. But I just want to say from that experience...that God lives. He is real. If anything, that experience did the opposite of tearing me down. It strengthened my faith of my savior Jesus Christ. I would do anything for him. I love him with my whole heart and soul. I don't have to see him to know that he is real. I know he is the savior of the world because I have found out for myself. I have asked him directly. And I got an answer. His gospel is just the best thing ever :)
So yeah. That's my satan story for this week. Haha

Nakahara さん: I love her. We had a beautiful lesson with her and a member on Sunday. And all I have to say is: WOW. Her faith in the Lord is outstanding. She is pulling the gospel into her life. I know that she is one of the prepared people I needed to find. During the lesson I was about to close, but I had a huge prompting to ask the member to bare her testimony. And it was the most sincere and most beautiful thing I have ever heard. We all started crying!! Nakahara さん started crying and she said, "I know this is the true church of God." It was so powerful. ❤
Fei: She is the one who thought Jesus Christ was a girl...but that's okay! Because now she knows the truth haha. She came to mission school on Saturday and said, "okay. Tell me the purpose of life." I basically died on the inside, but I was like OKAY LET ME TELL YOU!!! Definitely one of my favorite topics to testify of. Because every time the spirit testifies to me too. I have a testimony that we are children of God. And that his purpose is to help us feel joy and return back to him. Yep. I love being reminded of that :) We gave her a Book of Mormon and said how it can answer ALL of life's questions. She was so excited to read it and ask God her personal questions!😊
FRIZZ AND POISONOUS BUGS
Yep. It's time. Summer has started here in Japan. And I'm terrified haha. Ive heard that summer is yabai. やばい. My hair is going to be all over the place haha.
And the BUGS. oh no. I have already walked through a giant spiders web and I did the "stop, drop, and roll" thing they teach you in school.....It was handy let me tell ya. Glad I stayed in school ✌ But one of the members told me about a bug that is literally a mini satan. (Pics below. It's the long spider/centipede looking one) enjoy.
