Week 39 - Fertilize your soul

みんな元気? 先週は凄く素晴らしいですよ!本当に大好きですね~

This week was the best week ever. Honestly, I am just super happy to be a missionary every single day! EVERYDAY!!!! :) I had a really amazing opportunity to give a training in District meeting about "planning" and then I changed my focus to "What can you do to renew your testimony of Jesus Christ?" That's the main motivator for planning in the first place! We had a really spiritual discussion about it, and we sung "Called to Serve" afterwards to close the meeting and it just hit me that..I am a missionary RIGHT NOW. I am a servant of God in Japan Tokyo. I am living that dream RIGHT NOW. I felt the spirit so overwhelmingly and I knew that this was where I was suppose to be. I love being his servant. I truly truly love being a missionary 😊

Anyone who is thinking about serving a mission....just do it. It will be the best thing you will ever do in your whole life! :)

Subject line:

During conference our American Bishop said, "I have to leave in the middle of the session to go buy fertilizer!"

One of the elders: "Bishop! You need to fertilize your soul!!!!"

Funniest moment of my life.

TRANSFER CALLS

BEST NEWS EVER. SISTER MITCHELL AND I ARE STAYING TOGETHER!!!!! My very first time staying with one companion for more than a transfer!!!! She is basically my soul sista for life. So I am so happy I get to serve another transfer with her in Tsukuba. I swear I'm gonna spend the rest of my life in this area. Haha I'm the first sister that has stayed longer than 2 transfers in Tsukuba...in more than a year!! I'm now starting my 4th transfer in this area! And starting my 6th transfer in my mission. I'm sure the ward members here are sick of me 😂

MIRACLES

Okay, this is the week we saw the fruits of our labor this whole transfer!! The Lord blessed us with 3 New families to teach!!!! One family of 7, and two families of 3. (!!!!!!) Literally dying. They came out of NO WHERE. honestly. I think this is why Sister Mitchell and I stayed together!! I'm so excited!! I was able to talk to one of the moms (of the family of 7) and I was able to teach her about prayer and I bore my testimony about it. I just want to say, that I'm grateful that the power is heaven is always open to us and we can continue to receive revelation for those who need the Lord's light in their life. Even if that 'person' is ourselves. He is always there and I have never felt that so strongly than at this time. What a great time to be alive in these latter days!

THE FESTIVITIES

Those who saw me singing that song on facebook....please just erase it from your memory :) I was forced into that and basically felt myself getting sick up there. I felt the judgements. So I just wanna break it to ya....I didnt throw myself under that bus ;)

CONFERENCE

So here in Japan, we watch conference a week later than everyone in the U.S. and let me just say.....WOW!! Can we all agree that conference is just off the chain?! Elder Nelson's talk was my favorite. I swear that talk was just for me. He answered a question that I have had for my whole mission so far.

Something just incredible that I have learned about the Atonement...is the "Atonement" was an event. Something that happened. We don't get power in our lives from 'the atonement'....we receive that from Jesus Christ! The atonement enabled him to understand. To know precisely what we need to grow and progress. Because of who He is and his character....HE can heal us. He can give us strength and power beyond our own. The atonement, that event, just enabled him to do that for us. I love my savior more than words can say. He is my everything.

HOW TO MAKE A MISSION FUN (stress relievers)

1. Call a member and just tell them "I love you" and that will just make both your days.

2. Treat yo self. 🍦 (But be careful with the food choices because missionaries are known for the weight gains.)

3. Go for a walk and have a 2 minute photoshoot.📸 (my personal fav)

4. Go find a swing set

5. Go play and sing in the rain (it rains alot here in japan)

6. Forget yourself

There are lots more, but I've just come to realize that in times of sunshine or of rain....everyday is a good day to be a missionary 😊

Love you all so much!! Have a fantastic week!!🌸
