Week 30 - Noobs Have More Self Control.

I have yet to have a nice spiritual and lovely subject line 😂 haha don't worry mom and dad! My personality is still with me! haha

This week was seriously so busy!! We have been working so hard here in Tsukuba! I go to bed just exhausted every single day!! Which is honestly the best feeling. But then I scare my companion half to death every morning by how ugly I am. Haha the new schedule changes are sooo nice because lately I have been going to bed around 9:30ish and it's heaven!! (I now understand you mom😉)

TEACHING WITH THE PROS

Our mission president wife, Sister Nagano, surprised us with a visit to Tsukuba this week!! We had a teaching appointment planned, and she came & taught with us. Holy cow. I should have just taken notes everytime she opened her mouth. She is such a spiritual giant!! That lesson was with Anya. She is from Russia, and is doing her PhD here at Tsukuba University. (Tsukuba University is the biggest university in Japan. Only genius people go there haha) It was such a spiritual lesson for us...but it was hard for Anya to open her heart to the spirit. So she had a hard time understanding. But we left on really good terms and Sister Nagano was as happy as ever!!😃 I love her so much. Holy cow. She is my inspiration. I might just get a poster of her face and work out every morning with just crazy enthusiasm! Like they do in the movies.

I'm literally so happy I cry every time I think about it. She is my best friend in the whole world!!!!!! ❤

Charlie-

She is doing great!! We had a lesson with her yesterday! She is still trying to find out for herself if God is real. If He is a real...tangible..human being.

Throughout the lesson...I felt something that is impossible to put into words. The spirit testified to me that Jesus really is the Christ. That he lives.

It's amazing to feel the power of the Holy Ghost in every single situation I am apart of. Whether that be in a lesson, being yelled at by drunk old men, or feeling like I hit rock bottom...no matter the situation...The spirit is such a powerful witness of Jesus Christ and of our Heavenly Father. Because of Him, it is impossible to sink lower than where the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines.

There is no doubt in my mind that God is real. I am so so grateful I have the knowledge of that. That there is someone who is perfect...who loves me perfectly. And is so close to us!! that's the part I love the most. 😊

Claude-

So one of our mission rules is that Sisters cannot teach males. We can't even talk to them on the street. Which is super chill with me because I have encountered some weird guys here....to follow me everywhere.

{"Its because I'm white isn't it?!"} lol

But yeah, I don't know how this happened...but. We are teaching this black guy named Claude. He is super chill. He was a referral from the elders. He had a mini freak out when we met this last week because we started talking about God. And come to find out...he will only talk about God if it is inside about building... in about sit-down setting....or else he will get super mad and call you to repentance.

We definitely are getting a member to come to our next lesson 😊

We found her yesterday and we have a lesson with her tonight!! I AM SO PUMPED!! teaching is honestly the best and she is so bubbly and happy and Imjustsohappy :)

GIRLS DAY

Literally "Girls Day" is a holiday here in Japan! haha It's when everyone has this huge carnival and they make beautiful Japanese dolls!! So today we went to one of those Cardinals with 3 ladies in the ward! it was so fun!!! as I was walking on the side walk, I was stabbed in the ear by a tree branch. So, that felt nice.

A super cute, toothless, 90 year old man asked me to marry him this morning! He absolutely has no teeth!! none. 😃 But I felt super flattered! I told him I'd take a picture with him instead!! haha

I just love Japan. I am so obsessed with my mission. I LOVE THE PEOPLE. I love the crazy food. the heated toilets are just so great. And I just LOVE God. so much. I love this time where I can devote everything I am to him. Iamsuchahappymissionary 😊😊😊
