Maddison as a young girl playing in the toilet paper. (This is the photo she's referring to.)
Konnichiwa fam! I am so excited to tell you about my adventures about the good ol' MTC!! This week was SO AWESOME!!
Also, the subject line....i was staring at a bowl of soggy cereal...and i couldnt think of any other clever subject lines! ahha
THE PLAGUE
Yep, its just as bad as it sounds. Its super crazy how sickness is so easily spread here at the MTC. It makes sense though because
1- Youre in a room all day & never getting actual sunlight in your life
2- The food here gives you nothing but gas and bowel pain...
3- You are constantly surrounded by people and their nasty germs
ahha But yeah, I caught the plague and it was like i was hit by a train. Everyone in my district has gotten sick except for my companion, and 2 elders.
My teachers told me that I looked like death and to go back to residence and rest. So that was thursday, and i am still a little sick hahah but ayy #holla
4 SQUARE
This is pretty much another passion of mine. At first I was like, "Nah...4 square is dumb...and its a game for little kids.." BUT I WAS SO WRONG! Its the most intense thing ever and thats why i love it! i have met so many great missionaries playing that silly game, and one especially...her name is Sister Costa. She is from Brazil, she is serving in Australia, and she is exactly 4'5". When she hugs me, she basically hugs my hips haha but she is my HOMIE!! She is 24 years old, has tattoos all over her arms, and is the sassiest person i have ever met. (if you thought i was sassy...i probably am....but nothing compares to her hah) She told me her conversion story and it got me in tears. She has gone through so much, and she decided to give up everything and serve a mission!! (She has only been a member for 3 years) it was so inspiring.
ONE MONTH POW WOW
Oh I have been here for a month already???? I feel like i got here like...yesterday. But at the same time, I feel like i have been here for ages. haha its quite confusing actually ahah. My district is so flippin cool, and we had a lit party at the end of the day (on the 13th) and it was SO FUN!! We had queso and chips outside on the grass, and we were talking about our favorite memories. Flip, I love my district SO MUCH!!!!
PAPER TOWELS
SO my companion was going to the bathroom, right? And after i washed my hands, obviously i went to get some paper towels...and i figured out how to make the paper towels come non-stop!!! I started to wrap it all over myself...when my companion comes out of the stall..she looks at me...and just loses it. We both started playing in it ahhaha. I did a remake of that pic when i was like 1 years old playing in the toilet paper. You are gonna get a good kick out of it dad hahah. At the point where both of us were just crying from laughing...2 sisters walk in and were like..." oh.....woa..." and it was super awkward hahaha which made it even funnier!!
FACE MASKS
The shimaitachis make the biggest deal out of P-day eve!! Last night to celebrate, we did face masks and all i have to say is..."Blue man group or nah?"
CHOIR
I have probably meantioned choir in every email...but thats how much i love it!! Yesterday in a devotional we sang, "Joseph Smiths First Prayer". That is such a powerful song when there are 3000 missionaries singing it. During the actual performance, everyone put their heart in that song...and it was like the heavens opened, and the choir of angels also sang with us. It was the most amazing experience I have ever had involving the Restoration. I felt the spirit so strongly that I started to cry. It was like electricity was flowing through my body. There is no doubt in my mind that Joseph Smith saw God, and the Savior Jesus Christ. I felt that witness for myself during that powerful moment. HE SAW GOD. How amazing is that?
I cant wait for that day when I kneel before my maker....when he embraces me with his loving arms, and says "my daughter...i am well pleased." I know with ever fiber of my body that this church is the only true church on the earth. That we have a living savior...who loves each of us beyond measure. This gospel makes me so happy :)
I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!! This is by far the most amazing work i have ever been apart of!!!
I love you all!!! あいしています!❣
