Week 4 - The Deer (and The Duck)

おひお!!

This week was so much better!! I have never been happier in my whole life!!! Also, i am sorry...laxitives werent involved in my week either ahah

MIRACLES

ok, wow. I have experienced true and many miracles while at the MTC. This last sunday, was fast sunday. And all the sisters in my district asked me if it would be okay if we did a group fast for my mom. When they asked, there was a huge puddle of tears on the ground 10 seconds later.

I had the opportunity to bare my testimony in sacrament meeting, (IN ENGLISH) and that was incredible. to stand in front of 60+ missionaries and testify of my Savior Jesus Christ. so powerful.

After sacrament meeting is over, we go to dinner and then to choir. Before we did that, we decided to go break our fast.

{this is the miracle part}

We walk in a super small and dark copy room to pray. it was the only room that we could have a little bit of peace and quiet. Before we can get a peep out to start praying...this cute old man walks by and stops. He then asks, "looks like youre all having a meeting in here!" We turn to look at him and laugh, "we are actually about to pray so we can break our fast!" He asked us where we were serving, and then he just starts testifying. everything coming out of his mouth was so perfect, and was exactly what i needed to hear. He testified of the power of prayer and how missionaries have the authority to call down the powers of heaven. The language isnt needed to teach the gospel, because WE dont even do the teaching. (but it is an important part if we can at least testify) ahah There was so much more that happened and he left us all in tears. But i can testify that Angels are real. NO DOUBT. we all kinda joked around that he is one of the 3 nephites haha. it was truly a life changing experience for me.

TENDER MERCIES

i have 2 very big tender mercies.

* background story*

So my fam knows that I have this ducky. its basically a pillow pet...but not really. i have had my ducky since i was 1 years old, and leaving it at home was like leaving one of my children. (except i have no children....but basically the same thing)

So Kema shimai and I were walking to go to exercise time (beach volleyball) and in the parking lot i spot something yellow.

i walk up to it, and the closer i got...i realized what it was.

IT WAS A DUCK STUFFED ANIMAL. so naturally i took it. hahah I was so excited! God is so good!!

The second tender mercy was actually that same time frame. as i was walking across the street, i could have sworn i saw the Cross walk sign flash..so i just start walking, and I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A CAR. haha luckily the driver was actually paying attention and swerved out of the way. So yeah...i just know that its not my time to die yet. ahha

LANGUAGE

Japanese is insane as usual! ahha but looking back, i have learned alot!! and i can speak alot more than i thought i could. I have been praying specifically for understanding. with the gospel and the language. and the more i do so, i am able to communicate my thoughts and impressions.

Another miracle...i memorized the First Vision in one day. ONE DAY PEOPLE. I can barely speak ernglish!!!! lol

but yeah, that is a miracle just within itself!!

ELDER ANDERSON

yeah. another apostle came to speak to us yesterday. NBD.

he was talking about missionary work, and then he showed a picture. it was of his grandson in his backyard, and he said that there was an animal somewhere in the picture. It was kinda like that 'where's waldo' games. he told us to raise our hands when we saw it. I was about 100 feet from the big screen...and i see an ear of a deer. So obviously i raised my hand, only to find that i was the only one raising my hand....so i kinda put it down haha AND HE TOLD ME TO STAND UP AND POINT OUT THE DEER. ELDER ANDERSON SAW ME AND TALKED TO ME FOR LIKE 15 SECONDS. when he pointed at me from the pulpit...i looked behind me just in case because it would be hecka embarrassing to stand up in front of thousands of missionaries, only to find out that he actually wasnt talking to you...

so yeah, i look behind myself..and he says, "Yes, you sister who is looking behind herself. Stand up!" I slowly stand up and I turn red like a tomato and i am sweating bullets. He says, "where is the deer?"

AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I FORGOT HOW TO SPEAK. It was like i was struck dumb in front of an apostle, and 2500 missionaries and thousands of other missionaries world wide lol. (live broadcast all around the world)

I start to speak and i say "Its uh....right uhh....in the left corner...by the uh....(I FORGOT THE WORD FOR TREE!!!!!) uhhh...TREE..thing.." by this point i was ready to pass out ahha. he zooms in on the picture, and sure enough...i found the deer. he turns to me and says, "sister, you are going to be an incredible hunter in the field."

i actually didnt remember all of that, so kema shimai had to tell me what happened because i was so shocked. haha

He told us how WE WILL FIND THE ELECT people in the missionfield if we pray and if we are obedient. His talk changed my life. This whole mission experience has changed my life. His testimony of the Savior was what really struck me.

That is what my mission is all about. My mission is to testify of the Savior. I KNOW HE LIVES. I know that he is the savior of the world, that he willingly gave his life for us. I know that he will come again, and when he does..he will all kneel and testify of him. I know that he really does love us. And he knows who we are. How amazing is that? The savior WILL come again, and we will see his face. He will call us by name, and he will welcome us back with open arms.

I know that the Prophet and his apostles are called of god. That they get direct revelation from god, to guide us through the barriers of life.

I know and i testify.

いえすきりすとわかんぜんです. かみさまわわたちたちおあいしています. ふくいんわしんじつです. いえすきりすとのみなによって, とあかししますあめん.

I love you all so much. あいしています!!!
